I am upgrading your search extension from version 1.0.3 to 1.0.4 on Joomla 2.5. After the upgrade it no longer displays the “Extra Fields” information in the module view and instead displays the following error message in that location:

Warning: htmlspecialchars() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/Joomla25-StudyInBoston/libraries/joomla/form/fields/text.php on line 52

See attached screenshot for more details. I am using a local server (XAMPP) on a MAC. The php version is 5.3.1.

The front-end seems to work fine, it is the back-end module view that has problems. Thanks for any help

Thanks for your response. I checked the Joomla version and it turns out it is 2.5.9. Any other possible cause
