    Installing K2 into a quickstart configuration of JA Social is giving me some troubles.

    Toppanel, login, slider stops working…

    Any suggestions on what to check?

    /Henrik

    Hi ….

    K2 version 2.5.3
    JA Social 1.2
    Joomla 1.7 (have also tried with 1.73)

    I can check but I didnĀ“t look so much into JS specific. I just disabled K2 system plg. and everything seems to be working (except K2).

    Another issue are upgrading Joomla from 1.7 to 1.73 are this error, when JA Social are installed using quickstart;
    Files Update: SQL error file DB function failed with error number 1060
    Duplicate column name ‘ordering’ SQL=ALTER TABLE `tintx_languages` ADD COLUMN `ordering` int(11) NOT NULL default 0 AFTER `published`;
    SQL = ALTER TABLE `#__languages` ADD COLUMN `ordering` int(11) NOT NULL default 0 AFTER `published`;

    #1. K2 using jQuery – JomSocial ( JA Social ) also using jQuery.
    So please make sure you don’t have conflict between these javascript framework ( jQuery vs Mootools ). You should better w/ js compressing mode = OFF and trace to find out remove jQuery instances to keep only 1 instance
    #2.

    Please just to go phpmyadmin
    – Your Joomla! database
    – languages table
    – remove ordering col.
    – Re- Update Joomla!
    Everything will be fine.

    Or please update me w/ your cpanel i’ll help you solve everything.

    Thank you
