A have a big problem with JA_News module.
There are 16 categories in my site that are united in 4 sections. If I want to show only 4 categories – from 1 section, module works OK. But I need to show on the home page of my site all 16!
And? in this case, I got a lot of problems. Site became very slow, and produce too much queries to base. If I again reduce number of categories in module – site works good. But I need all 16 categories on my main page.
And something else – base of my site now has 28000 news/

Have you ever thought you may be trying too much with JA news? it prolly can handle 6 but 16 is a bit much. there are sensible limits to what it can do, we see ppl here pushing templates and extensions way past normal capabilities, JA will be opening an extensions club soon and JA news will be a standalone product then, it may include capabilities you need

You may try one of the many other modules fro other sources that dispay news as rss feed type links to conserve space and loading time?
