    Hi,

I discovered a problem with captcha at Virtemart Registration Form.
It appears that K2 captcha configuration conflicts with Joomla captcha configuration and at the user registration form of virtuemart you get an error: “The words you typed did not match the ones displayed. Please try again.”
I resolved it by disabling the captcha in K2 configuration.
I suggest to update the template quick start accordingly, so there would be no future problems.
I just thought it would be a good idea to share this with you, so others will not spend all this time I did, trying to figure out this problem, when I attempted to activate captcha. 🙂

I need to add that, if you want the registration to also work at the Joomla login, you need to also deactivate the K2 Profile. 🙂

    Hi,

I’m having hard time trying to make captcha work as user above on my website without any success.
I’ve tried many forum suggestion and I think I won’t figure it out without help…

I disambled the K2 captcha and K2 Profile as above.
The result is a 403 at this link: http://www.faitmain.ca/index.php/en/component/users/?task=registration.register
I had to set things back…

    Could someone help me please.

    Thanks

Try to switch default template to a standard template of Joomla and see whether problem persists or not.

    Hi,

I tried this link: http://www.faitmain.ca/index.php/en/help/account-maintenace and I see that user registration is OK here. However, I don’t see the captcha. Have you enabled captcha recaptcha from the Joomla configuration and the Joomla user component?

If you want to have captcha for VM registration, please make a search in VM forum, you will get better answers there. Because the default settings in global configuration is for Joomla.

    Hi @saguaros and @gogue66,

If you follow my instructions, captcha will work at all the registrations. Joomla & VM. If something is unclear, please let me know and I will explain it better. 🙂
