August 24, 2012 at 8:43 am #180197Hi
I have created a new user position in the main body on my website. So, on the home page, there is a newsflash element (http://jakeauerbachfilms.com). This displays the latest blog post.
I do not want more than 7 lines to display. So I have tried using “read more” or page break. when I create a long post. However, when I do this I get the whole post, with read more appearing after the 7 lines, followed by everything else. So for now, I have just put a 7 line post on.I am assuming this is something to do with the fact that this module ( newsflash) is appearing inside a regular article page.
Can anyone suggest a solution?
Many thanks

August 27, 2012 at 10:28 pm #465529Oh, thanks for the reply.
I have had help on here before, and am not sure why not this time? I am a very occasional web designer, and cannot afford the subscription. Is there somewhere I can post to get help? I have tried the joomla forum, and have had no replies.

Hello sarsells,You can find an expert to have the project done via a reliable freelance site: Joomlancers.com, another network of JoomlArt. I personally recommend as thousands of projects have succeeded on the site.
Regards.

August 30, 2012 at 2:19 pm #465851Thanks for this, but it is not really a project, just a small problem. I will certainly keep a note of the site for future reference.
I still do not understand, why I am no longer able to get help. It was this forum, that advised me how to put a module in the main body, but now it seems no one will tell me how to make it function properly?
