    Hi,

I’m trying to write menu items, content titels and content for articles in Greek, but I keep getting ???? ??? (question marks)….

What will I have to do to make the theme work with Greek characters?

Also I’d like to ask something else. Right now I’m working with the theme in a subfolder on my site, that is I have not uploaded joomla to the site’s root, but I’d like to do this when I see that everything is working alright. Is it possible to reuse all the work I have in lets say databases and template changes when I want to upload to the root?

    Best regards,

    Sabina

    Greetings Sabina:

Do you have any kind of language pack installed, or translation configuration?

First you need to check your db collation it should be utf8_general_ci

If your db collation is wrong you will have to change that i suggest you use a tool like this one here -> https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentation/admin-tools/ch02s10.html

In this case what’s even better is that you can use Akeeba backup to backup your website from the subfolder/subdomain and restore it using the same tool to your domain name root.
