test
Hi
Does anyone use this component in a high volume site? Have you had any problems?
I’m trying to get it going on a development site where I have around 150,000 image files
The test site is on a LAMP server running centos. php is running as fcgi
The s3 Component is hanging at <blockquote>Please wait. Initializing Upload…</blockquote>because of php timeouts whilst trying to digest the large number of files. I currently have it set to 30 mins and it wont complete.
Because of the existing nature of the storage from other joomla components the majority of the files are stored at around 5 – 20 per directory in a flat structure…
img_dir-
——–|dir1
——–|dir2
——–…
——–|dir1000+
so breaking them up into smaller bites is difficult. And I guess this could run to several k dirs.
For testing I’m uploading directly to s3. If the job gets to production I have root access so could set php timeouts high – but neither are correct solutions.
I dont see any api / cli functionality built in – did I miss it?
Anyone have any helpful suggestions to work with this scenario please?
thanks
b.
