    hello
I downloaded JA_FEDORA and i am trying to upload it on the server. I did unzip the file ja fedora v1.1 for moomla 1.5 and used the template zip file to upload the template. however it says that the xml file can not be found.
This is crazy. I spend 49 dollor for something that is not working

Why are you trying to upload it?!

Open your Joomla administration page, then go to:

    1.Exstensions > Install/Uninstall,
    2. go for the first one,
    3. Click Browse, find your template.zip file on your HDD and then click Upload File and Install

well i just went to Installer -> templates-site and then browsed to the folder it had the template file and selected it and uploaded that way. I get the error message that that xml file is missing.
i MEAN i uploaded other templates into joomla and it is not that hard but this one does not have everything i guess or maybe i am still doing it wrong

Do you try to download it again? Also, are you trying to install plain template or quick start template?

I’ve tried both templates, plain one and quickstart and installation goes without problems. Guys you must doing something wrong.

Look in download section, there is JA Fedora v1.1 for Joomla 1.5.2 : (Include template and quickstart) (6.07 MB), so you have separate archives in it, one for plain template, and other one for quick start. It’s two different things. If you tried to install it as it stand above, then you will get that error message.

Unpack above archive, find two template archives (plain and quickstart) and then try to install them as archives.

Ok i got it installed. The problem I had was i had a old version of joomla on our server. after upgrading to the new version it installed.

Another problem that i ran into is installation of catpopup modual. I got it installed but it is not working correctly. it just shows the header for the section that is getting assigned to and when i click on it there is popup but nothing is shown. in the user guide it mentions

To make this work you need to have one copy of this module published to a module position called catpopup

howerer when i look under the template configuration where i select the position there is not such position. so i put it under position 2 which is named “topsl” . where do i add that name for the position?

Try to drop the sample data, but import the sampledata.sql with phpmyadmin or another database tool you have after installation is complete and see if it works then.
