Hi all,

I have a problem with the janews module and JoomlaComment! in Joomla 1.5. It’s pulling a link to my comments module onto the front page whenever I use the “readmore” link in articles. You can see the problem here: http://www.racinepost.com/joomla2 and in the image below.

I need to include the “readmore” link to avoid the full stories appearing on the Category and Section pages.

Anyone have an idea on how to get rid of that “write comment” box?

In joomcomment configuration select the option to not show the component on the front page.

Fixed the comment by venturing into the JoomlaComment code and deleting the appropriate lines. Thanks.

Sure. It’s the comment.class.php file in the JoomlaComment component folder (com_comment/joscomment). I deleted the entire “Readon Block” section. Probably not the most elegant solution, but it was effective.
