I have a problem with setting up a Contact menu-item in my Uber site, using the Spa template. I added a Contact item to the menu in the header, but cannot select the right user (which for now is only the Super user).

I tried this with adding type Contacts > Single Contact and Contacts > Single Contact 1. The first gives me the option to select a user, but in the list there appear to be demodata of users that are not on my Site (in the Joomla backend Users > Manage screen, there is only the super user. I can’t find these other non-existant users anywhere else in the backend. Is I set up the Contact item as Contacts > Single User 1, I do net get a select button but can enter the name of the superuser directly in the Name textfield. However, every time I click on Contact on the frontend, I get a 404 Contact not found error.

    A few pictures to explain:

    There’s only one user

I enter the user name, here in Single Contact 1

    The result…

I try Single Contact (not 1) and can click to Select a user, but…

I get a list of non-existant users. I see the super users name next to John Doe, but when I select John Doe as contact….

    Again a 404 error!

What’s going on? I made the site http://www.pittigeteksten.nl with the Uber template (Corporate style) and there, the Contact item works perfect, like it should.

I see now that I should have used the Contacts component in stead of the User list. Still, that doesn’t explain why I had to enter the user id in stead of the name. And what’s more, the contact form looks no where near the contact form in the Corporate style (https://www.pittigeteksten.nl/index.php/contact). Should I consider erasing and re-installing Uber with the Corporate Style?

Okay, I found this one in another recent thread. In the Contact Display Options of the menu item, the Display Format had to be set to Plain…

    Thanks for your patience!
