    Hello,

I’m using JA Wall 1.0.9 template and JA social feed plugin 1.1.0 on several subdomains of my site (Joomla 2.5). On one of the subdomains the tweets stopped working about a month ago (the plugin doesn’t fetch anymore tweets) and now I’m noticing that the facebook posts are coming with big delays (or not at all). When I click on ‘run now’ in general settings, I eventually get a 504 Gateway Time-out error. The plugin works fine on 2 other subdomains, but they are more recent, so I am scared that I will soon be experiencing problems there too.

I would first like to know what are the limits of this plugin. I have about 90 facebook, 60 twitter, 30 flickr and 60 youtube accounts. The plugin worked perfectly for about two months. Do you have any idea why it would suddenly stop working well?
I tried lowering the number of accounts, the import limit and deleting old posts in k2 categories where they are kept, but nothing has worked. I also tried installing a newer version of the social feed plugin (1.1.3), but it doesn’t seem to offer the possibility to choose a k2 subcategory as a target for an account, I can only choose main categories so I uninstalled it. For me that’s a real problem, because in versions 1.1.0 of the plugin, most of my accounts have subcategories as targets. Is there any way to choose a k2 subcategory as a target in the newer version?

    Thank you for your help,

    Ziva

    Hi Ziva,

As your site is using version 1.1.0, please upgrade to the latest version and tried again.

Regarding the problem with K2, I have been raised this issue to our development team here for further investigation. Hope they can get it fixed soon.

    Hi,
    Thank you for your answer.
I installed the new version and tried again, it doesn’t change anything. I really cannot figure out where the problem is.

I tried to configure multiple accounts via our dev, I got the same problem.

Since your site sets up many accounts: facebook, twitter, flickr and youtube, this problem relates to server performance and API social connect limit.

Please try to use with less accounts and disable other social connection. For instance, you can test facebook account and disable twitter, flickr and youtube. Hope it can work.

I tried deleting all facebook accounts, but the tweets were still not working. Then I recreated the facebook accounts and I tried deleting all twitter accounts, but that did not improve the performance for facebook either. I created a new account on twitter and provided new API keys to the plugin, that also hasn’t had any effect. I still always get Gateway Time-out error when I click on ‘run now’.

Do you have any more suggestions?

    Thank you,

    Ziva
