Sorry if this is a dumb question as I am a bit of a newbie, but I am having trouble changing the header image in this template, when I try to delete the images in the header file and upload my header image I am not allowed to, the upload fails and the deleted images return, I thought it may have something to do with permissions, but when I try to change the image permissions I am told they cant be changed. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

That’s a problem relating to files/folders permission. Go to Global Configuration > Server tab > File Creation. Click on CHMod new files to 0644, directories to 0755. Click the Checkbox Apply to existing files / directories and press Apply.

This should reset all files/folders to the recommended permissions. You would then be able to delete and change files normally.

The globals are set correctly, and it is still happening, but only with this template I can make changes to files in other templates but not JA Iris. It’s very strange.

I got same problem. You may ask your hosting provider to unlock APACHE type files/folders.

Fixed it , you have to sett all file and folder permissions to 777 if you get this problem, then it should be ok to edit- just remember to change them back when you have finished to secure you site again.
