IE 7 and 8 don’t seem to like the JA Nerine Joomla 1.5 version template very much.
The layouts behave very oddly, especially when using wrappers like I do for my blog pages. The home page loads and the minute you move the mouse, the page elements split apart and move to different places.
The footer module also jumps to an odd position way over to the right instead of appearing directly underneath everything like it should.
See this problem at: http://www.meg-enterprises.com
NOTE: (had to restore old Joomla 1.0.x version – see next post, problem site moved to http://www.meg-enterprises.com/megent15All looks exactly as it should in Firefox though, with the exception that the pages with weblinks display one item of text description of the last link on the list at the bottom on the page, in an unformatted way, sitting above, over or just below the User 6 position depending upon the page.
At first I thought this might be an IE 8 issue but it does this in IE 7 as well. I’ve tried turning on Compatibility mode which helps but there are still strange placement problems.
Is there something that needs to be changed in the template css or other files to make it look right in IE using Joomla 1.5?
Note: The Joomla 1.0.x version of this template which I had been using up until yesterday worked fine in IE7, IE8 and Firefox. – see http://www.meg-enterprises.com
Looks like this issue lies with the Joomla 1.5 version of this template. (I’m using the most current version available for download on this site)
Any clues or sugestions on how to correct these issues is greatly welcomed and appreciated..
May 28, 2009 at 10:59 pm #306066This is a live working site for my business. Visitors are complaining so for the time being, I’m going to have to restore my old Joomla 1.0.x site until a fix for these issues is available.
I will republish the problem version of the site in a subdomain so others can look at it and perhaps offer suggestions.
The new location will be http://www.meg-enterprises.com/megent15
Thanks in advance to any and all responses

September 7, 2009 at 2:20 am #316592Did you ever get this sorted? I am also having problems with IE and this template mostly relating to the menu. None of the menu options display correctly.
Regards
May 13, 2010 at 10:49 pm #343532I have a similar issue with a Login Module placed in ‘User 4’ where in IE it moves to the left instead of being right aligned.
Did you get resolution?
Many thanks Andrew
