I’m thinking this is a Javascript error. What do you guys think. I don’t know much about Windows Servers as I always use Apache, so any help would be appreciated.

I built this site for a charity who has hosting with another company who uses windows servers :(( & I don’t have full access to server side. He installed the site using Akeeba backups kickstart.php with the .jpa file I created from my test server. I have installed the site on a live apache server and it works fine. You can visit http://rvlp.org/cacil to verify this.

The site is built on Joomla 1.5.22 and all of the plugins, modules and components are up to date.

The message I got from the server company.

    Erik,

I ran through the kickstarts script and everything completed without error. However I am having a problem displaying the site correctly. Here is a link to the test site on our server. http://209.59.180.217/$sitepreview/cacil.org/

Site is set to use PHP5 and it is hosted on a windows box using IIS 6. I have went over the permissions several times and can’t figure out what is going on so I thought I would shoot you an email.

Here is a couple of the errors being generated.

I’m thinking it has to be either a javascript error or the .jpa file got corrupted along the way. As it stands right now I can’t even get into the Administrator panel because of the site preview settings. The server guy is fixing this. I will post the new link when I get it.

    Any ideas?

Please make sure css compression is off (in the ja template manager), all sef url settings are off and gzip compression is set to off (in the normal Joomla admin panel). Then clear all caches and see if that works.

Thanks for the reminder. Unfortunately it didn’t help.

I double checked (on the site I made the .jpa from, I’m still waiting for access to the live site) & gzip compression is off, sef url settings are off, not using the .htaccess file, & not adding suffixes.

JA_Ores does not have a setting for css compression (so I can’t check or change it). administrator to template manager to JA_Ores ……. I remember this setting with other templates but not with Ores.

Which version of PHP exactly are you using? Also can you PM me a link to the .jpa file so I can download it and test it on my windows box for you?

    PHP version is 5.2.6

But, we got it to work on the server. The hosting guy thinks it was something with the “preview portion” (I’m not sure exactly what he means by this) on their server. It is up and running at http://cacil.kitghosting.com I just went through it and everything works well.

It should be live on http://cacil.org tomorrow.

Thanks so much for the help!
