When I tried to translate JA Voice to my language (Japanese),
I have encountered several probrems (may be bugs), and now I solved some of them.
I want to report them to developers with hoping my suggestions to be reflected to the next release version.
(The following problems is found both ver. 1.4.2 and 1.4.3.
I’m afraid that my report may be long, so I’ll post it with dividing into some pieces. )
The apostrophe (‘) may affect badly.
/admin/views/configs/tmpl/systems.php line 398, 399:
… title=”<?php echo JText::_( “Max Chars of Widget’s description” );?>:: …
<?php echo JText::_( “Max Chars of Widget’s description” );?> :
/admin/views/configs/tmpl/systems.php line 451:
<?php echo JText::_(“If reported as Spam, then the Voice’s status will be updated to….”);?>
Are the apostrophes in the strings correct grammatically, from the view of PHP?
Should it be escaped with backslash?
And I don’t find the keyword “MAX CHARS OF WIDGET’S DESCRIPTION” in en-GB.com_javoice.ini.
I also found another bug on an apostrophe.
In en-GB.com_javoice.ini line 557:
ADD SMILEYS TO YOUR COMMENT SECTION TO LET YOUR COMMENTERS EXPRESS THEIR DIGITAL FACIAL EXPRESSIONS. SARCASM ISN=Add smileys to your comment section to let your commenters express their digital facial expressions. sarcasm isn
By my inspection, the keyword may correspond to
/admin/views/configs/tmpl/plugin.php line 297:
<?php echo JText::_(‘Add smileys to your comment section to let your commenters express their digital facial expressions. Sarcasm isn’t sarcasm without a wink ;-)’)?>
I guess the apostrophe might removed the following characters at line 557 in en-GB.com_javoice.ini.
