Hi, I am developing a J3.7.5 site using the JA Alumni template. On the page displaying a contact category list, I want to disable the Contact Filter Search. http://halcyondaze.com/bysclone/index.php/homepage/introduction/general-committee I have gone into Contacts/Options and disabled in List Layouts both Filter Field and Display Select. I have also disabled these two options in the menu item created for the page displaying the contacts. I have also cleared my browser cache. I put this problem onto the Joomla.org forum and received this reply that the problem was a template issue. See the advice below…..

Its a very simple problem and its your template. It would appear that your template has an override for the view and instead of checking to see if the setting is enabled for the search filter it is displaying it without a check. I confirmed this by viewing your site with the default protostar template where it correctly does not display the search filter on the contact page.

I also want to display the contacts image and despite setting the image display to ‘yes’ in the contact list option, the profile images won’t display.

Any help with solving these issues would be appreciated. JR
