Hello
I’m trying to create a website based on joomla 1.7 and Ja Blaze, but I have met some serious problems with inserting images in the articles. This is some of them:
I have created a normal article with some text and other forms of content. For example there is a table with two columns and about 40 rows.
I gave my table a CSS class with the following styling: { border: medium black dashed } and that works fine.
BUT..
There is about 80 images in the table (one in each cell) and these are behaving very strange!
- I can’t insert an image by clicking on “Insert/edit image” button in the WYSWYG editor unless I do that twice: I click the button, type the url for the picture and press insert. Then I click on “Insert/edit image”again, type the url for the picture and press insert. Why do I have to do that twice for every single picture inserted in my articles?
- The first image are showing outside the table, to the left. I’ve tried both to write the HTML my self and through the WYSWYG editor. But no matter what it stays outside the table. Why?
- I also have other image problems but lets start with these two 🙁
What’s the problem? Why can’t I display images in the articles normally like any other joomla installation/template?
I’m working on my site locally, but I have uploaded a mini-version of it to show the problem. JA Staff can se the URL and credentials.
Thanks in advance

December 27, 2011 at 6:14 am #431314Can you please tell me what editor you are using for this.
Also, try uninstalling the template and re installing it.
And from Joomla themselves:
<blockquote>Images are added to articles using the Editor Buttons below the content editor window in the Edit Article screen. Note: It is possible to insert images using the editor in Joomla!. However, this feature provides a simple way of inserting images stored in the images/stories directory of Joomla!
Open the Article for editing either by:
Click the Content > Article Manager menu item to go to the Article Manager, select the Article and click the Edit toolbar button.
Clicking the Add New Article button in the Control Panel.
If logged in to the Front-end, you have appropriate permissions and are viewing the Article you wish to edit: Click the Edit toolbar button.
Choose where you would like your image placed in the flow of the text by moving the cursor and click the Image editor button at the bottom of the screen.
The Insert Image screen will open over the top of the Edit Article screen. Choose an image by clicking on it.
You may also move directory by clicking on the folder icons.
Use the drop down Directory field to quickly select a directory and click the Up button to go up a directory level.
Set the image properties as required:
Image Description: This becomes the alt attribute for the image, an important feature for accessibility and compliance with web standards.
Image Title: Used for the optional caption and also becomes the title attribute in HTML.
Align: Sets the image alignment. If left blank the align attribute is not set.
Caption: Enables the caption which displays the Image Title below the image.
Click the Insert button to insert the image. The Insert Image screen will close and the image will be displayed in the editor.
Click the Cancel button to leave the Insert Image screen.</blockquote>
