There a lot of problems with JA Templates in Internet Explorer 8, like the layout of pages.
With the older templates like JA Rochea there are some IE8 CSS Style needed to correct positions of the template. Please provide same IE8 CSS Style Modifications like already present in the new templates like JA Uvite also for the older ones.

There is also still a mootools 1.1. error shown all the time, plus sometimes the browser declares part of still unchanged code of the index.php of the template as an error.

There must be certain workarounds one can do on the code side to avoid those errors messages to come up.

    Thanks.

we have discuss this subject, JA stated that they will deal with it when they have a stable final version avaiable, until then it is a waste of their reources to work with beata versions

    but…
you can change a setting in the browser to make it backwards compatible and render sites as IE7

many major, non joomla sites are also have major isues with IE8

FYI: Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2 is now available.

I do think it’s funny that every other company design their browser to be compatible with existing websites but Microsoft expect all web designers to make their site compatible with the their browser.
