    I Installed a clean copy of the Kulanite template (for it _is_ the nicest) and now I am trying to add the newsflash module in the user5 position. I have been playing with the different settings but I cannot get some things to work correctly, here are my main problems, i hope you have a quick solution.

    1. Why can’t I access the janewsflash tutorial from this site? it says access denied.
    2. I replaced the three background images in the header folder (templates/ja_kulanite/images/header/) but they do not show up all the time… can it be a chaching problem?
    3. it look slike the background images appear random, are they? and is there a way to fix them? and does it grab any and all images from the header folder?
    4. I cannot seem to figure out where it gets if animated data from, either the Category, where I posted two articles with just an image on them or the templates code area… I would like to have a transparant png image with some HTML text rotate and I would like that content to come from articles, not the static Templates content, like this:

    <div style="overflow:hidden; height:200px;" >
    <div class="image"><img src="templates/ja_kulanite/images/balloons/textballoon01.png"></div>Text comes here
    </div>

    5. the animated bit is shown with a dark grey background. Is it possible to turn it off, or at least move and scale it? right now it is just a part of my background image and I can only change the height.

    I hope you get my problem and have a solution, and access to a help file would be much appreciated, the Kulanite explaination of the JaNews extensions is too short to help me out here. Thanks a million!

    This is the site now, just starting…

    Thanks annaleen!
    I tried that to. But for some reason there still are a line with the text.
    I add picture..

    I have no idea why, because I removed the other module called JA newsslide or whatever its called. The only module left now is the JaSlideshow.. And it is in user 5 module.

    What am I doing wrong?

    sskarli I think you’ve got the description enabled with no discription in it, disable discription.

    Let me know if it helped 😉

    Hmm, that could very well be the reason ! 🙂
    But which file is that in? And what should I search for?
    Thanks!

    In slideshow module scroll down it’s almost the very last parameter, the other thing play .. with different navagation settings in ja_slideshow starting with “none” and work your way up, navigation gave me a lot of unsolved headaches in the past.

    mod_jaslideshow.xml in line 88:

    <param name=”showDescription” type=”list” default=”0″ label=”Show description” description=”Display description for images.”>
    <option value=”0″>No</option>
    <option value=”1″>Yes</option>

    So it says 0 for no, so it should be right shouldnt it?

    Set your parameter in the module, you don’t have to do that in the file. Go to Joomla administration – Extensions -> module manager -> click on your mod_jaslideshow -> On your right see “Module Parameters” set parameters – Save refresh homepage in the front

    Thanks for all help and answering lots of stupid questions..
    But it is off. So the problem is that the ja slideshow module doesnt cover all. Like shown on the image earlier. I add the picture here:
    It doesnt matter what I put in height. It wont fill up the space. It is as it stops where the line is. Because there is always that bakcground image with that stupid line. And I have no idea how to remove it. Look to the right and bottom of the picture and you will see that it is two pictures over eachother..

    So what I want is the jaslideshow module to fill the whole header.

    There is also a problem with the slideshow only loading halfway in firefox (what browser do you use?), play with navigation settings. Clear cache and refresh.

    Follow the userguide for JA Sanidine II – on the mod_jaslideshow. Follow that exatly, if you get that right, take it back step by step making only one change at a time.

    THANKS!
    I installed the mod_slideshow from JA Sandine 2. It doesnt work as a slideshow, but the picture change from site to site. And it fills up the whole space and there is no errors.
    So that will do! 🙂
    Thanks
