November 17, 2010 at 10:44 pm #156541Hello,
I’ve installed mod_jaslideshow2 on my site and define settings EXACTLY like your quickstart (in a test-base). Images don’t be displayed. What I have to do to images be displayed?
In my test-base, everything works. This is the same server.
I want to configure mod_jaslideshow2 to get source from “IMAGES FOLDER”. I have defined correct folder. Images are there, but don’t be displayed.
Any help?
Thanks

November 17, 2010 at 10:47 pm #363224It is really hard to tell without a link. Can you also post screenshots of your slideshow module settings.

November 22, 2010 at 4:31 am #363668Dear michel,
Maybe there are some problems that stopping the resize of your images in the slideshow2 module, so you are not able to view them.
Please check again the write permission for the images folder if required make them 777 as well as all it’s sub-folders, also try to turn the Safe_mode setting off,I hope these would help.

November 22, 2010 at 11:04 am #363709Hi dathq,
I see, but if Joomlart look at my system info (I’ve created a user in my site and open a support ticket), would see that safe_mode is OFF.
All my images folder is 777 (FTP info also informed), and module don’t work yet.
Any other idea?

November 22, 2010 at 11:11 am #363710Do you have an images/resized folder? Has the script managed to create one? If the answer is no then as suggested it is almost certainly a permissions problem. There is far more to permissions than the simple 777 permissions. There are also ownerships and all sorts of special groups that can be assigned in Linux. We need to find a group that the scrip will have permissions to create folders and files with.

November 22, 2010 at 12:03 pm #363719Hello Phill and dathq,
Problem founded and solved.
Script was creating a folder inside resized/images/stories and, despite these folders are writable, this new folder was not allowing writing. I’ve deleted and recreated the folder with the permission, and now is working.
Maybe this can help others.
All the best
