March 3, 2010 at 7:28 pm #149173Hi there,
we have totally redesigned our site now. Ok, you can’t see most of the original template but I hope you like it now.
If you like you can also design your own configurator;)
Have a look at http://www.sellector.com
If you like it let me know. Also if you have some recommendations.
Best regards to all,

Me again 🙂
I can see that your using Rutile from back in 2008.
What do you consider to be the pros and cons of using an older template such as Rutile?
I have a (possibly) irrational fear of using something older than 6 months for the following reasons: –
- Template no going to come with support for mobile broswers
- Template not using T3 template (so perhaps slow?)
- Template may not be good for Search Engine Optimisation
- Template may not work as well in modern broswers (although, it may work better in older browsers such as IE6 – so swings and roundabouts)
Do you think I am wrong to rule out using some of the older templates?
What do other people think?
(sorry to go slightly off topic in this thread):)
Cheers

March 4, 2010 at 7:27 pm #334880Yes you are right it is rutile.
And you are also right with your other points. We had some work to make the template work fine with the browsers. But what the hell is T3 template?

Hi Chooser,
The T3 Framework is what Joomlart uses for their more recent templates – from teleni iii onwards i think.
It apparently has a number of advantages: –
- Faster Loading
- Better SEO
- Mobile Support
I’m sure you can find some information about it on this site. There is even a presentation knocking about somewhere which talks about the advantages of using the t3 framework.
But in all honesty, your site loaded very fast in my browser.
