I actually read the similar threads but I couldn’t solve the problem. “Published Date” not shown any more. Perhaps I miss a little detail. Could you please help me to solve the problem.

May I know which part you want to display Published date? Could you provide more details?

Thanks for your reply. You can see from the attached picture. There is title as “Published Date” that’s it, no date.

Hi,

Thanks for your info.

Please go to file: languageen-GBen-GB.com_content.ini

and look for this line: COM_CONTENT_PUBLISHED_DATE=”Published Date”

change it to: COM_CONTENT_PUBLISHED_DATE=”Published Date: %s”

You can change red word to your own word.

It’s interesting that “Published Date” shown for the featured articles in home page but not within article.

Hi there,
It works now.

I checked file: /templates/ja_rave/html/com_content/article/default.php

And changed it to:

<?php echo JText::sprintf('COM_CONTENT_PUBLISHED_DATE_ON', JHtml::_('date',$this->item->publish_up, JText::_('DATE_FORMAT_LC3'))); ?>
I also kept the original file so that you can see the different.

By the way, featured articles are different, you can change featured articles within this directory: /templates/ja_rave/html/com_content/featured/default_item.php

Hi,

I got the same problem. After activating (at article options) published date is shown only when articles are listed in a row (after clicking on the menu button) but not if an article is opened alone.

Just to understand: There is no other way to show published date than modifying php file?
