May 20, 2015 at 10:58 pm #571300It should be OK on that version if setup correctly, o get those errors corrected you will need to speak t your host. Please read the Joomla docs on the matter here – https://docs.joomla.org/J3.x:Installing_Joomla#Hosting_Requirements

May 21, 2015 at 6:32 pm #571402OK. I’ve installed the quickstart database successfully – at least as far as admin thinks.
But when I try to look at it from the fron t end, I get:
Warning: require_once(/home/aswab/667Q0SXV/htdocs/benq/site/application/bootstrap.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/aswab/667Q0SXV/htdocs/benq/site/index.php on line 21
Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/home/aswab/667Q0SXV/htdocs/benq/site/application/bootstrap.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/aswab/667Q0SXV/htdocs/benq/site/index.php on line 21
Frustrating, given I thought I’d been successful.
Any thoughts?
Help?:((PS Looking at line 21 of index.php, I find this:
require_once dirname(__FILE__) . ‘/application/bootstrap.php’;
Which impies the installation hasn’t really worked properly?
Again. HELP….

May 22, 2015 at 6:48 am #571467That just failed.
Got to Overview, click Install, and it starts, but stops after about 5 seconds.
No error messages, nothing.🙁
My host does an auto-install which works.
Is there no way to install the relevant parts of quickstart after an initial install?May 22, 2015 at 6:48 am #736515That just failed.

May 22, 2015 at 7:59 am #571471It is possible but not easy. Your host obviously have some very specific setup to make their auto install work. This invariably will leave you with issues further down the line. I would suggest asking your host to do the install or ask them to sort out their setup so people can install in future.
