I have been attempting to update Purity III Template to 1.1.7 from 1.1.6 on my joomla 3.6.2 website. But the updater fails stating:

Warning
Update path does not exist.

Message
Error updating COM_INSTALLER_TYPETYPE.

So I finally managed to download the file with some help from a support person

, but when I attempted to install it via the Extension Manager Installer, it fails telling me I must use the Updater to install it.

Has anyone had this problem and managed to solve it??

Hi
You need to use JA Extension manager component to update the template .
Configure the JA Extension manager with your JA Account and update .
Do not forget to take backup of site before updating Joomla or template .
