Can someone point to a forum answer on the above question? I want to put a youtube video in the video tab but cannot find anything that explains to me how to do it.

If you look in the quickstart package the video tab has code in it for linking a Vimeo video. Easiest thing to do would be to copy that.

Alternately I’d use japopup. Instructions are on the module page for how to use it.

    Hope that helps!

    In the backend.
Go to extensions – module manager
Find the module called ‘Video’ located in position JA-Tabs1
    Open.

    Paste the code:
    <div class=”youtube”><iframe width=”170″ height=”97″ frameborder=”0″ src=”http://www.youtube.com/v/Vp6_iL2O3bw”></iframe></div>
Into the text box (you may need to toggle to html mode) and save!
    Presto.

Of course you may want to change the video sizes – I just copied these out of the quickstart code. And I would still consider using japopup.

Thanks for some reason it does not hold the code. Once it is saved it reverts back to the existing code in the box.

Maybe best I look at japopup. Will do some research today. Am trying to have the same kind of result as they have on one of our friends sites http://www.magreaterchina.com with the youtube videos on the right hand side.

You do realise that the “videos” on the right are only screenshots.
They link to a full article that contains pics, text and a link to the Youtube video. Probably a better way of doing it as you can increase the video size and play it in page.
I think you need to do more work and research on how you want this to work before you charge off looking for solutions.

    🙂

And – like it says in my footer – search the forums first as someone has probably already tried to do what you want to do!

    Enjoy!
