Hi all,
I am designing a new layout for the JAT3 framework and I was wondering if I am able to build the layout and name the blocks that I want and am I limited to how many blocks i can setup within the design? I am also looking at using extensions from rockettheme and so on am I also able to design the components into the layout and make the gfx to suit the style?
I want to design my own module wrappers does anybody know how to code them as there are only the standard module wrappers such as xhtml, rounded and and so on where would I code in the new module wrapper.
Is it possible to add gfx backgrounds to the mega menu or is it possible to code into the layout a fusion menu so that I can make the menu more graphics based.
Any help you all can give would be most appreciated.
Many thanks
Charlie.
September 12, 2010 at 11:16 am #355252Hi all I have spent quite a few hours working on the template design and have found out how to put together custom blocks.
Now I just need help on the other 2 subjects.
1: I would like to replace the Megamenu buttons with custom gfx and button shapes.
2: I would like to be able to make my own custom module and block wrappers.
Any help on these would be great as im struggling to find any of the info for these in the wiki sections.
Thanks all
Charlie.

September 12, 2010 at 7:45 pm #355272Hi,
about the second question that is what You have to do:
1. Look at /public_html/YOUR_SITE/templates/system/html/modules.php – this is the default rendering of modules styles.
2. Read this article: http://docs.joomla.org/What_is_module_chrome%3F
3. Create Your own style in new file, name it modules.php and put it in /public_html/YOUR_SITE/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/That’s how You add new module style.
I don’t fully understand Your first question. I guess You want to set more wrapping DIV’s, right?September 14, 2010 at 8:05 am #355459thnx for the tip, will this allow me to change the module chromes in the TA3 template?
yeah want to be able to custom design my own module chromes but they have to be able to work with the TA3 template framework.
thnx

September 14, 2010 at 1:42 pm #355495I’ve sent You Private Message.
There is no problem to this with css, you just need to have the necessery HTML and CSS skills to do it.
September 14, 2010 at 8:00 pm #355522well tbh i dont really have many css skills and only basic html knowledge. I have been learning for the past few weeks however the part im having the most problem with is learning how to code css and php module chomes. so if anybody can help me with this I would be greatly appreciative thnx 🙂
September 17, 2010 at 6:38 am #355772So Basically with these pieces ill have 8 div tags. module1-tl, module1-tr, module1-bl, module1-br these four divs will be positioned in the usual corners however module1-tm, module1-mr, module1-ml, module1-mb all of these I want to be able to position in the correct place and then be able to repeat in the necessary directions so when a module has this chrome it will adjust to each size of the module without distorting the shape. Can anyone help me with the necessary module chrome and css code to do this with. I have seen this used on several of Rocketthemes templates one specific template is rt_dominion.
