I’m in general surprised with the enormous amount of problems and issues with the templates.

    More specific:

As far as I know JA Social is not an alpha or beta release, but I experienced a basic problem with tooltips (yesterday logged in the ticketing system) in JA Social, in a component which works fine in JA Rasite.

Looking for an alternative I had a look at alternative templates and their recent issues. I was very disappointed.

After testing Zeolite II (as an simple alternative for JA Social) there are also basic issues e.g. with module position names and a to the point answer is not given to the issue. In the answer even another template name is mentioned. The good thing is tooltips work, but than I have to solve the other issues…

Being a paying member I’m really disappointed in these quality issues. >:(

Maybe is better to slow down the fast release of new templates and put more effort solving open issues and thorough testing of new ones.

    A disappointed member.

I would appreciate if you can provide link to the posts you have raised in this regard. We got thousands of members using our templates and i would not jump to conclusions so fast on the quality. I can assure you of bug fixes if you have encountered any…

No one wants a disappointed member here :). Help us help you.

    My mentioned post is http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/tooltip-doesnt-work-jhtmltooltip-in-ja-social-but-works-in-ja-rasite/

I have seen there is now an answer on my issue (thanks), and I will test the supplied solution.

    Some facts concerning my frustration:

after having received a ticket for the above with username/password, I couldn’t enter the support system with this information.

After that I looked for an alternative template and found Zeolite II. I installed the template and tried to place the the JA Slideshow module on the mentioned JA Slideshow module position of this template, but this position was not available in the drop down of the module.

After this I had a look at the JA Zeolite II Template Installation and Configuration thread in the forum (http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/ja-zeolite-ii-template-installation-and-configuration/). If you have a look at the posts than you know enough. Actually there is even a referal to a joomla guide about positions. This is a very weak and non supportive answer!

After this I did a compare of the templateDetails.xml file of the former version Zeolite and one of Zeolite II, which made clear that some positions were not ‘copied’ somewere in the development proces. Changing this solved the ‘module’ issue.

I hope this gives you a better insight in how my frustration was build up.

Glad the solution worked for you.

You can login to the support ticket system with your forum username / password. Session manager (which is common for all the systems used at JA) should have logged you in. Still try going in there again and login.
If it doesnot work for you, please let me know. We shall get it checked.

The position is available in the Zeo II quickstart package. I will have a look and fix it. At the same time, one can add the module position by typing it straight into the dropdown.

Will fix it now. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you for your answer. I really appreciate it.

Your tip entering the support system with my forum name/password worked. Before I used the supplied username/password within the e-mail of the ticketing system, because this mail stated I had to use those credentials (tip for change?).

    Kind regards
