I have the JA Amazon S3 Component installed on a Joomla 2.5 install, and while I am able to get it to connect to the Amazons S3 and upload files, I can’t get the URL’s to change to the s3 bucket. They still point to the local url.

I have searched the forum and there is no mention of anyone using this extension with 2.5, so my question is, is this extension compatible with Joomla 2.5?

    Thanks

    Hi,
Even thought it’s not yet updated and thoroughly tested i have tried this personally and i didn’t find any difficulties or malfunctions.
But as i said it’s not yet 100% tested.

Thanks, I got it to work. For some reason, trying to get it to work with just the images folder wasn’t working. When I set it up to start from the root, it worked.

Another question, is there a maximum number of files or a time-out period for file uploads? It was set to upload 4000+ image, js & css files from the images, template, component, & module directory, and it stopped uploading after 10 minutes. I had to refresh the page and continue with new file uploads to keep it going

    Hi,

As far as i can tell there is no upload limit but this limit can raise from other factors as well, for instance a request timeout, but from my experience everything will be uploaded during the next cron job or so.
