Just installed JA T3 + Joomla 1.6.0 (will u/g to latest soon) for new site. Am trying to decide whether to become a paying JA customer.

1. What specific file(s) do I edit to change the format of the main content block? Currently it displays the first article full width with 3 others displayed in 3 columns right below it. I would like to get rid of one or more of the lower columns.

2. Do you have a T3 FAQ page with “how to” guidelines just like you do for ja_purity_iii? (here). I imagine most new users waste just as much time as I have trying to figure out how to make basic changes.

WEBSITE FEEDBACK: the mouse-over popup links at the bottom of your forum pages are extremely irritating.

1: That is actually a setting in the Joomla back end. Look in the menu manager for the home item and ot will see an entry on the right called #columns. You will probablt find that is currently set to 3 with #leading articles set to 1. Play around with these to get the effect you want.

2: We have the wiki – http://wiki.joomlart.com/wiki/Main_Page – plus as a member you would get access to the full forums most of which you currently cannot see. In there you will find most questions already answered and usually if you ask a question someone will answer quite quickly.

As for the bar at the bottom I find it quite usefull but I leave it minimized until I need it by pressing the little minus button on the right. Then it is lot less obtrusive.

Thanks so much for the quick reply, really appreciate it. Right you are, a bunch of main page article placement options are there (would have never guessed without your help!).

Thanks for also pointing out the mouse-over menus can be minimized. Done.

I’ll be signing up as a paid customer tonight (you deserve a commision :)).
