January 5, 2012 at 3:44 am #172450I need EXACT instructions on how to use a quick start. I assume there needs to be a database that goes along with it?
I put all the quickstart files on my server then ran the install wizard by going to the URL and my site looks nothing like the demo. There is just a home link in the menu and the template loads by default and that is about it.
Also, why is there not a K2 template selection available?

January 5, 2012 at 5:18 pm #432666Thank you very much for the link, however, JA Blazes 1.7 does not include the K2 template files. How do I get those?

This is because – at the time JA Blazes J1.7 was created – the K2 v2.5 (J1.7 compatible) component had not yet been released. As such, or JATC J1.7 Templates prior to JA Tiris (I believe) do not include the K2 component . . . . . yet.Unfortunately – at this moment in time – there is no definitive date or timeframe to provide as to when/if our JA Devs will release updates for those J1.7 Templates to include the K2 component. Please do keep an eye on our UPDATES section for continuing and future announcements.

So it’s not possibile to install K2 v2.5 on ja blazes J1.7?
Are you saying that ja-tiris, ja-kranos, ja-nex, ja-elastica are the only J1.7 templates that can use k2?thanks

No … What I am saying is that JA Tiris, JA Kranos and JA Elastica are (currently) the only of our J1.7 JATC Templates within which STYLING for K2 2.5+ has been integrated. You can install K2 2.5 into any J1.7 based template – but (at this present time) you will have to configure and style the K2 related elements yourself).1 user says Thank You to TomC for this useful post
