December 18, 2008 at 6:22 am #136333I installed the extracted Quick start package from my local directory through FTP. Followed the installation to the end where I was instructed to remove the installation directory and click a link when it had been removed. I removed the installation directory from the server and clicked the link as instructed. The template looks great but I have no backend. I login from my site and My site welcomes me but when I click the “Administrator” link in the (Resources menu) I receive this error in a new browser window:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare modchrome_rounded() (previously declared in /home/content/j/a/s/jasonxxxx/html/atime2/administrator/templates/system/html/modules.php:80) in /home/content/j/a/s/jasonxxxx/html/atime2/administrator/templates/khepri/html/modules.php on line 34
I’ve tried direct URL addresses to get to the backend also
Any Ideas?

December 18, 2008 at 4:17 pm #283384did you try http://www.yourdomainname.com/administrator
as you have not started this site yet, I would delete the whole installation and db and start all over again. It would be a lot faster and easier than troubleshooting this issue. Also, usually, if you get an error like this and you do track it down, you will find more errors as you build your site. Better to just start fresh.

December 18, 2008 at 4:22 pm #283385If you just upload the quickstart package to your server, to the folder you want joomla installed it. Then go into your control panel / file manager. You can unpack the file directly on your server, this saves a hell of a lot of time over moving the entire joomla structure over via ftp.

December 20, 2008 at 4:09 pm #283624I tried to install the unzipped Quickstart package from joomla admin (install/un-install) not realizing that the quickstart pac has a joomla installation directory in it, so it caused an error. So I removed foomla from my server and started fresh with the Qstart pac. Well my FTP program had timed me out a few times during the upload so I believe a few files didn’t take. After a few failed attempts with verious free FTP programs, I finally found the Fire fox add-on FireFTP. A wonderful program that reconnects you when timed out. I still had to manually upload each folder and sub folders and sub-sub-folders:(( but I now have a solid understanding of all the working parts of the backend.
when I launched the site and logged into the Admin back end, a few Icon were not there but I was able to find them quickly and reinstall them through FireFTP. Success! There may have been a quicker way but right now I don’t care, It works! Thanks for the quick response:) I’m wondering if I use another template, will it install with sample data also so I can use the template as it appears on joomlart. -
