Is see there is now a Quickstart ZIP file for Larix. Thats great thanks.

But I was wondering how you complete the installation using the quickstart method?

I have unzip’ed and FTP’ed to my server. But how should I create the database and the configuration.php file for the Quickstart to work??

Have searched around the forum’s previous templates for a guide. There seems to be references to a video tutorial put together by Shannon? But then I saw a post saying that the hosting of that video has expired.

If someone could point me towards the steps needed I’d be grateful.

Ooops! Been a JA member for ages and never spotted these tutorials. Excellent thanks.

I’m away on holiday in a lovely cottage on the edge of a forest 😀 at the moment and using the laptop with my 3G dongle to get online but only getting GPRS data rate of 50kpbs :(( It;s like being back on a 56K modem – remember those days.

Anyway thanks for the tutorial link. FTP uploading the files is gonna be fun at 56kbps…

We were talking about the procedures to install a template using a QuickStart Package for any template that comes with the QuickStart option. 😉
