I’m attempting to start working with JA Fixel for my personal site, and I when I download the quickstart package and install it into MAMP along with the sample content, I get what appears to be the template only with no content.

I just tried grabbing the 2.5 version instead and it looks like that works. It has all the content to set-up a clone of the demo site.

Did you choose to install sample data as in the screenshot?
