When I install the quickstart for this template there are absolutely no graphics beyond the background image and logo. None of the menu data gets populated, none of the store information gets populated. There are no store graphics. My home page is basically blank… and looks nothing like the demo page whatsoever. Did I install this template wrong or or am I completely missing a step here or something? This can’t be all you get to get started in this template. I would think the quick-start would install exactly like the demo site. Please help.

November 18, 2011 at 3:54 pm #425277Yes I did… It installed the normal Joomla sample data. Fruit Store etc. but not the sample data used in the demo site.
November 18, 2011 at 5:40 pm #425297So it appears that it the 1.7 quick-start is “bad” or incomplete. I reinstalled the 1.7 version two different times: Once with Sample Data and once without. The result was exactly the same. Then I installed the 1.5 quick-start version and everything worked. The 1.5 version included temp photos, the data was populated etc., and everything was laid out appropriately as expected. The 1.7 downloadable quick-start version for this template SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. I believe that the downloadable files for the 1.7 version of this template are incomplete. Somebody please prove me wrong, because I’d rather use the 1.7 version rather than the 1.5, but right now that doesn’t seem to be an option.

November 18, 2011 at 8:36 pm #425320No, my site looks nothing like that upon install of 1.7…
Take a look at the 1.7 version of the site here: http://www.theprintshopsofamerica.com/new/
The 1.5 version of the site installed correctly, and you can see it here: http://www.theprintshopsofamerica.com/5/
Same server… same install process.

” It installed the normal Joomla sample data. looking at your source code compared to mine you’re missing stlylesheet links, k2 patch everythingCheers Shane
