August 26, 2011 at 1:39 am #167818hi there,
i am trying to install community plus template (with all components like your livedemo) on a web server. my host got a preset of joomla 1.7, which i got intalled.
i would like to install now the quick-start.zip (jatc_community_plus_j17.zip). i tried to install it from the backend – i guess that was wrong.
so would it be right to delete everything and upload it with filezilla?
i think the quickstart file included joomla so its no good to have it allready there, right?!would be great if anybody would give me advice.
i got it running on a localhost (xampp server) – was quite easy though.
thanks a lot for your answers.
chris

August 26, 2011 at 1:49 am #408598Hi
To install quickstart, just download quickstart from out download system : http://www.joomlart.com/forums/downloads.php?do=cat&id=20370
Ja Community Plus 17 (16.41 MB) quickstart 08-24-2011
Upload it into your host ( or localhost ) in “empty” place.
Extract pack and follow install as Joomla installation normally.
Quickstart is fresh joomla install with everything included as demo . It’s not templates / extensions that will install via Joomla installer.
Thank you

The reason I didn’t/couldn’t include mavigating around the CPanel is because different web hosts use different CPanel configurations – so there really isn’t a “universal” roadmap to be able to provide a step-by-step guide as I did with the quickstart installation guide.
Wish I could have, though.
Best of luck with development of your site !!!
