I have followed all the instructions for installing the quickstart package, but when I look at the front end of the site, it doesn’t look anything like the version on the demo site. Either the quickstart package works or it doesn’t. And it appears it doesn’t. Will there be a fix coming out for this very soon?
As to all your instructions about the php etc., I am not technically savvy to know what to do with that. Why should I have my tech support with my host get involved in this when I’ve never needed him to do anything about an installation before?
This template and quickstart is not up to the usual high standards for Joomlart.

Have you had a chance to look at this, jooservices? I am trying one more thing… I’ve replaced your sql file you posted in another post for this template, and have zipped it up as the sample.sql file. If this works, great. If not, I’ll let you know that too. But I have to get moving on this, and it has been several days since I originally sent the cPanel info.
I appreciate your help in this.

That’s it! I give up. I’ve tried installating this every way from Sunday, and still can’t make it work unless I tell it there is no data at all, and only installs with the open screen and a login. PLEASE! Help!!!
The only reason I liked this template was because of the design work done for a charity, trying to raise funds. Without this working, I may as well go look elsewhere. And yes, I am VERY frustrated.
The last error I got, trying to use the sql data you provided was:
<blockquote>Some errors occurred while populating the database: No database schema exists for this database type.</blockquote>
Would it get fixed any faster opening up a ticket?

Hi @patvandenbosche,
Please let me assist you in this matter then. But first, please follow these steps below :
1. Create a database with collation utf8_general_ci
2. Make sure that the PHP version in your server is 5.4 or newer
3. Please send over a temporary FTP account / database name / database account via private reply and I will install the Quickstart package for you right away.

Hi,
I am also having the same problem. The Quickstart for Joomla 3 is not working. SQL error. I have checked the minimum requirements, and all seems well.
Just to let you know that the template can be installed without any error without sample data. With sample data it is not installing.
Any idea why?
