Hi,

when I try to install the ores quickstart package everything goes ok but after deleting the install directory I simply see a blank screen/page.

What can I can do here? Is this a common/known problem?

the following error is seen when error output is enabled…? Any ideas?

Yep, a known problem. It means that your server does not have php_cURL enabled. EIther get it enabled by your host or simply log into the Joomla back end (you should still be able to do that) and disable the twitter module.

I had the very same issue. I’m using xampp. This is how I resolved it. You need to enable cURL in xampp:
1. Locate the following file: C:Program Filesxamppphpphp.ini
2. Do a search for the following line of code by pressing CTRL+F:
;extension=php_curl.dll
3. Remove the semicolon in ;extension=php_curl.dll
4. Restart xampp and it should now work!
