ok.. i’m trying to create a menu that links to anchors within an article. and well, I can’t figure out how to insert an anchor in the system… hyperlinks yes, but not anchors. it has to be something i’m not seeing.

Hi Pavit. Thanks, I actually found those tutorials… but they both say the same thing, press the anchor button (which i knew before) the problem is, (as you can see here – http://prntscr.com/cwdefm ) there is no anchor button… at a loss here

Seems you do not have JCE Editor installed or enabled , install it from HERE

Then enable it from global configuration -> Site tab

This creates a new issue:
Extension Install: Custom install routine failure.
So, if i need this to do a simple functionality thing, why was it not part of the quickstart package. this was a clean install from materials YOU provided. and now I have been stuck with nothing but problems
SO BASICALLY i’M FUCKED.

The editor is added to help you to add html content into your articles without write code –

It cannot be added at quickstart because it is an external 3rd party extension not part of joomla core.

Mine was only a suggestion ,JCE editor works fine and if you are having problems with it most probably is because you have some other things not correctly configured.

Share as private reply a temp super user account here for your website and i will have a look at your settings

I installed Jce editor without problems and set it as the default editor ,anchor icon is in the editor so you can add your anchors to articles now , simply follow tutorials i posted above

Thank you. just seems really odd that I am having nothing but problems on this one… the other ones I have done went through with little to no problems whatsoever.
