February 17, 2009 at 9:06 am #138231Simple question, on the Joomlart.com Frontpage it now says that the “JA Magento Templates Club is now open” and there is a new tab on the top of the page. (Little site error: The new tab makes the “Member Area” link move over to the right outer side of the main wrapper disappearing to a 50% outside the whole page)
But there is no note where the JM Club is located at, is it now on a new page with new homepage address (what address) or simply here part of this site?
Will Developer members have access as proposed earlier and what are the costs for a regular membership?
Will there also be sort of Quickstarts for those who build a Magento store from scratch?
Simply the usual questions though…;)
Thanks upfront!

And the Magento Section/Membership will totally independent with the Joomla Membership. However, as current customer of JA, you will always get the best discount/promotion. I will update further on this in the coming days

Magento is quite different and QS is not neccesary. I have a Magento Installation Guide here to get everything exactly as the demo

February 17, 2009 at 10:38 am #292014wow – i’m probably missing the point but the cost of the developer membership is quite steep considering it’s only for 3 months.
sorry, just my first thoughts that’s all.
Also, the single product membership – is that for one install of magento only? just alittle confused. (didn’t get much sleep last night – little one playing up)
😀

February 17, 2009 at 11:44 am #292039I’m not thinking about the quality of the template – i have full confidence that the templates will be of high standard, it’s just that i’m comparing the Joomla membership options with the Magento ones.
There’s a huge difference in the levels available to new and current members. I.e. if I wanted to setup a Magento site using a JA template – i’d have to go with a Personal Membership – which would cost me $200 (or in GBP £140) – which is quite a lot of money for a 3 month membership.
However, you can go with a single developer license for the same price for a lifetime membership – i’m just trying to understand the difference between both membership options other than the differences outlined by the membership table.
It is quite confusing. Any admins / JA staff care to elaborate?
I’m sure other members will be thinking the same.
