Can anybody validate this template working with a reasonably high volume site.
The site we were working on and which went live was working well at around 14000 people per day, but as we increase the traffic, the site just hangs.
Server guys say it’s joomla, joomla guys says it’s database everyone is saying it’s not them.
I am aware of many css and java scripts need to run this template, which everyone blamed, but just need to see a site with high volume as an does anybody please have any guidance
I have not added the url for security, if you are interest in seeing a really slow site please contact me, i am just looking for a good example of this template working under pressure
the site is running really fast, the problem after 2 server team and numerous Joomla experts was in fact some graphics this was a very very weird one but the point of me making this ammendment was to say this template works very well with 1.5 million users per month

May 21, 2010 at 6:47 am #344224Dear all!
here is a site mentioned about how to improve performence for joomla. it’s a good entry
Here http://www.alledia.com/blog/seo/101-ways-to-speed-up-your-joomla-site/
1 user says Thank You to Saguaros for this useful post
May 24, 2010 at 7:43 am #344515how did i resolve it, ummmmmmmm thats a whole story, one group of paid people found a blank.gif missing (where i am not sure) the server people chucked the site onto another server, this just caused further permission problems, i went through everything turning stuff off, double checked dns, server and eventually it disappeared.
my gut feeling is there was and is some java script errors, however i am not clever enough to find them, but the client is quiet, which is the most important thing.

While developing, the errors of javascript is so difficult to find and debug, and lost a lot of time to fix them. you should post the link to your site in here, i ‘ll try to find debug with browser tools and give you some solutions 😀
May 27, 2010 at 8:28 am #344894the list is too long, if i were to add the url here the client would be angry so i don’t think thats a good idea

I agreed on this. but you can do not post the link in here or if post, you should use the tinyurl service (http://tinyurl.com/) to convert to the short link, your client will could not check and find it in the SEARCH ENGINE. If you post the link and some snapshot (as possible), i and some users have a closer look on the issue, you ‘ll get some solutions in the quickest time.
I found a entry mentioning about the joomla performance: http://www.alledia.com/blog/seo/101-ways-to-speed-up-your-joomla-site/ . i think this will help you so much in the development.
