Basically the problem is this: The content slider has a “Read Full Story” link that when clicked is supposed to load a new page w/ out the slideshow and other modules where it loads the entire story… instead it is reloading the home page w/ all modules and putting the full story under the partial story as pictured below… Other than being very redundant it is also kinda annoying to have it load so low on the page after the reload.

Hope that makes sense, if not go to http://foundation.corvallisclinic.com/ to see it in action…

Thanks again for your continued support and help with this.

    Hi,

That is happening because the category you have chosen to show the Latest news from ,also needs to have a menu item of say category blog type / category list type. When a menu item is created for a category, an Itemid is assigned to it and the module display per page is controlled by the Itemid association with the module.. (That happens when you choose some items from menu list to show the module on those pages.)
Since there is no menu item for the Latest News category, it takes default itemid 1, which is always your home page. So the article is loaded considering it has itemid 1 and displays all the modules that are published on the Home page.

If you dont want to display this category menu item anywhere on the site, you can create a new menu container say ‘Unpublished Menu’, and create this category blog / list menu item in it. Dont publish menu module to display it anywhere on the site, and remember to keep the menu item published.

took me a minute to figure out what you were trying to say, because I missed “Category Blog” as a menu item type at first. Once I set that a menu item that had category blog and set “The Latest” category everything started working… Thank you for the help the great explanation as to why it needs that set.
