All articles on the Front Page links and the read more link are producing 501 Error messages. Looking at the URL they have extra characters “amp;” that are causing the problem and I’m not sure how to go about fixing this issue.

If you remove the extra characters then the link works ok.

Example:
Bad Link:
“http://wichitafsc.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=111:may-2009-test-results&catid=52:testresults&Itemid=96”

Good Link:
“http://wichitafsc.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=111:may-2009-test-results&catid=52:testresults&Itemid=96”

We have consulted our Hosting Provider and they state the problem is with the link that is generated which is causing a mod security rule to be violated. They suggested modifying the code to remove the extra characters. However, I’m not sure what to modify to fix this issue.

Are you running anything to make your urls more search engine friendly?
If you are running Joomla 1.5 you may want to try turning on the basic joomla search engine friendly urls in the configuration.

I have the same problem, my article links dont work either…

however mine does not include the “amp” mentioned here….

My site works fine and well on my “nonlive” server http://85.83.18.231/haargalleriet

But on my host http://www.haargalleriet.dk it doesnt work…

if you guys can help ill be sure to donate…!
