The READ MORE link is not appearing in the Category Blog Layout. There was a previous post on this, it’s now marked ‘solved’, but there is no solution offered.

Can anyone help?

Thanks for the reply. The site in still in development on my localhost, sorry. I have tried every setting directly related to Read More, but it won’t display. Does the Read More display depend on any other features being displayed?

You try login backend > menus > Main menu > menu item that has type is Category blog > Article options section > set Show “Read More” is Show

Yes, have done that, but still no go. However, I just discovered the READ MORE is embedded in the to “Show Category”. This is unsuitable to me — how can I have the Read More without showing the Category in this template?
