I wonder, is it possible to arrange Slideshow thumbnails vertically?

    Thanks for reply!

    Short answer: yes.

But not without a major rewrite of your CSS. There’s not a simple setting that would change this on the back end.

In updating the CSS you’ll have to reposition the images, the masks…and if your stack goes high enough, you’ll then run into your description hover area…so there’s that too.

Might be easier to find another template that has it…and just pull the slideshow over from it.

There are no JA Themes with vertical thumbnails row in slideshow.

I think, it’s not possible to rearrange thumbs just by editing CSS. CSS defines pisiton of whole thumbnails row, and not separate thumb. I suppose, modification of Slideshow component required. But I don’t undrestand, how to make it.

Here is one of the JA template with vertical thumbnails. http://template15.joomlart.com/ja_sanidine/

You can download the sanidine quickstart and from the extension folder use the slideshow module for your opal site.

    wish you luck.
