October 30, 2015 at 12:05 am #720181Can someone please tell me what are the settings for reCaptcha to work in a JA Techzone quickstart setup?
I have added my keys from google but I get an error when I try to register a new user.
Warning
Empty solution not allowed.
reCapthcha Settings are 2.0
keys updated in k2, recaptcha plugin, and kunena.
recaptcha set in global configurations…
Will try version 1.0 in recaptcha just to see…

November 2, 2015 at 3:54 am #720907Hi @blacktie4,
Joomla has a captcha form element built-in and K2 also uses the same ReCaptcha element. In order for the system to work you need to:
1. Disable the Captcha-ReCaptcha component in the Joomla Component Manager
2. Go to the User Manager and then to the Options (Users Configuration) and set Captcha to be “none selected”
3. Go to the K2 configuration and enable Captcha and enter your public and private keys.
If you don’t do this, then both captcha’s will be used but only one will be displayed (the K2 one I think) and you will get error messages as above.
