When you do a recover password on the site, you get sent a token you have to copy and paste into text box in a link provided and click submit. Unfortunately when this is done, it returns you to the same page and regardless of how many times you try it does not allow you to change your password.
Can the recover password be done using Joomla’s normal recovery system. The one provided with JA social does not work.

September 30, 2010 at 9:56 am #357175yes, that’s a typical issue only occuring at your site as I have checked the quickstart demo and still see everything work fine. If I do not have access to your site, I am afraid I could not debug or give you any solution.
September 30, 2010 at 2:19 pm #357206tell me how to change the recover password to link to joomla’s native recover password form
September 30, 2010 at 3:12 pm #357211your template is causing the problem- here is what i found online:
http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?p=2128249#p2128249
<blockquote>Andy,
So far we have identified the following template clubs using the mechanism:
* Rockettheme,
* Yootheme
* Joomlart
* Gavick
* Shape 5 (identified by Brynk)Please feel free to add more to the list to benefit the users? (maybe abstract this part and post as separate issue?)
note to template clubs: This is to help users of your fabulous templates so they know what to do! This is no blaming festival since you have done your job well so we just want to make sure that people understand that with certain templates this issue will arise and that users need to do something, as you need to do something in your packages as well! I know for instance RT has already upgraded all systems with the updated confirm.php so please help your clients and upgrade asap or make notice on your sites how they should upgrade your particular version of this file?

September 30, 2010 at 3:29 pm #357213my solution is to temporarily remove the com_user folder from the jat3 plugin folder– it solved the problem
I found that the original solution needed the user login as well as the token, whereas the jat3 solution asked only for the token

October 13, 2010 at 4:05 am #358695hmm , i test the demo site, it’s working.
Try changing the default template to any other template and then try the forget password link again. if it works then, something is wrong with our template. If it doesnot work, then something is wrong with your joomla! installation.
