May 26, 2015 at 7:25 am #206638Since implementing JCH-Optimize, the page speed optimisation extension, the red “New articles” button no longer works. It still tells me the correct number of articles, but when I click on it, it stretches out as it should but no article information, title etc, is displayed. All I get is an empty box.

I suspect that it’s got to do with the compression, bundling and deferring of JavaScript and CSS files. I need to know which JS or CSS file is responsible for the displaying the links to the new articles, so that I can exclude it from the optimisation.

May 27, 2015 at 6:07 pm #572018Sorry, Adam, it didn’t work. I excluded that script in JCH-Optimize but the ACM module still does not display any articles when I click on the red square ‘New Articles’ button.

June 19, 2015 at 9:54 am #574782Hi @andrewwinkler,
Thanks for the info. I checked your site and look like there’s an extension in your site (or module in server) which block the data from ajax call, therefore no data can be printed out.
Please temporary disable each extension in your site and recheck to see which one is the cause of this problem.

June 19, 2015 at 12:50 pm #574806If you tell me the name/path of the JS responsible for the ‘New Articles’ model function, I can exclude it in the JCH-Optimize plugin.

June 22, 2015 at 4:12 am #574966Hi @andrewwinkler,
Please recheck my previous reply, the problem might not come from JCH-Optimize cause if even you temporary disable this plugin, you will see the problem in front-end.
In this case, please temporary disable JCH-Optimize and any extension that might block the Ajax code, one-by-one to see which extensions is the cause of this problem.

July 7, 2015 at 3:36 am #576570I’ve tried disabling JCH-Optimize and you are right, the red ‘New Articles’ button still doesn’t work. The Developer Webconsole doesn’t say anything about CSS or JS conflicts, whether JCH-Optimize is turned on or off.
I also tried disabling the NoNumber Joomla CDN plugin, to make sure the problem is not caused by it, but that made no difference either.
I also went through all the enabled non-core-Joomla plugins, turned them on and off, but wasn’t able to make the’New Articles” button work.
I have another problem with your template that might be related, but I’m not sure. The mega menu editor in the template manager no longer works. The button to open it no longer is displayed. I’ve posted a separate ticket about it already, I’m just mentioning it in case it’s related.
