Hi. I would just like to find out about the redirecting. So would we need to keep k2 installed but we can delete the items? The menu items for K2, do they need to keep the same alias? Eg, K2 category menu item – http://www.websitelink/industry but I want my Articles blog menu item to also be http://www.websitelink/industry. Is there a work around for this?
Also, is there a way to import the k2 items but keeping their original ID? If this is possible, then we won’t need the redirecting.

I also have a question about the redirecting. I don’t understand the documentation. I ran a migration, but it didn’t add anything to my redirect table. That’s what I assumed it would do. Do I need to keep K2 installed for it to work?

You can uninstall K2 as well, just remember to backup your site before that.

We can’t control the Menu Item, for this case, just change the Menu Item Type to Article blog of com_content.

No, unfortunately we can’t keep original ID, as JA Migration’s workflow.

It will each time you visit the old link from K2, and K2 must be disable, remove/ disable. New data will be added to Redirect table.
