I notice the mootools.js is 184k, has anyone reduced the size of this file? I was going to try but if someone has already done it please let me know. I know taking out the comments reduces it bigtime, but I’m a little afraid to chop any coding out. Anyone take this on? I doubt this theme uses the whole .js script.

Just go to to mootools.net and download a full package that is compresed there, it should get it down do 40 or 60kb.
I am not sure why they have included the whole package in all templates after all.
My guess is that it can be reduced to maybe something around 20-30kb,coz many of the things is not needed.

I downloaded a new mootools and left a few things out and got it to 84k, but i’m sure a lot more could be taken out. When I have time for trial and error I’ll go through piece by piece.

I went through mootools and through trial and error discovered which elements are necessary. Got the filesize down to 38k from 184k. A huge difference!

******Note, i do not use the slider module from the bottom of the demo of the template, i just use the slideshow at the top. So don’t use what i did unless you’re in the same situation.******
