    Hi,
I bought this component to fulfill two needs

    1. Want to reduce storage in application hosting sever
    2. Fast loading of static content into website

It seems first requirement is not fulfilling as we are storing data in both application server and amazon S3 storage server. As I host
my website in Amazon EC2, I need to pay twice for same content. I would like to avoid this situation. We would like to have an option to delete the content in application server once it is loaded in amazon S3. Kindly let me know whether it is feasible or not with simple configuration changes. If not kindly let us know, what it takes to have this feature in place.

    Thanks,
    Suman

    Hi malcolmf,

If you don’t want to store in your server once it’s loaded in amazon S3, you can choose option “Upload and delete local”

Option 1: Upload new & modified files

This option is to upload new and modified files –> the old files will not be uploaded.

Option 2: Upload new files only

Only upload new files –> the old files and modified files will not be uploaded.

Option 3: Upload & Delete Local

After uploading allowed files, delete the uploaded files from local.
Be careful with this option, because the files will be deleted from your site.

    Hi MoonSailor,
Thanks for help. This option will be useful to when I manually upload files. I use cronjob for auto upload files, then in this case how do we pass this parameter?

    Hi malcolmf,

In case you use cronjob to upload files automatically, you need to remove files manually.
